Choose the right measurement calculator
Measure length, flat area, rectangular volume, bulk volume, or vertical wall surface with focused tools that keep those quantities distinct.
What kind of measurement do you need?
Length and area
Choose linear feet for one-dimensional distance or square footage for flat rectangular area.
Volume
Choose cubic feet for general dimensional volume or cubic yards when bulk-volume output is the main need.
Vertical surfaces
Calculate gross and net wall surface after measured door and window deductions.
Length, area, and volume are different
Linear feet measure distance along one line. Square footage measures a flat two-dimensional surface. Cubic feet measure three-dimensional volume, while cubic yards express the same kind of volume in a larger unit often used for bulk materials.
Wall area is vertical surface area: it combines wall width and height, then optionally deducts measured doors and windows. Use its net result as an input to a separate paint, drywall, insulation, or wallpaper estimator.
