How the calculation works
Project area is multiplied by the entered number of passes, then divided by the editable coverage rate. The result is a mathematical coverage estimate rather than a product-yield guarantee.
Formula
Adjusted coverage area = drywall area × passes Compound gallons = adjusted coverage area ÷ entered sq ft per gallon
Worked example
A 500 sq ft project with two entered passes represents 1,000 sq ft of coverage. At an example 100 sq ft per gallon, the estimate is 10 gallons, about 37.85 liters.
